SALISBURY, N.C. — Police have have arrested the suspect accused of killing a 20-year-old man late Monday night.
Police say 20-year-old Terry Watson, Jr. was arrested in Lexington, NC Wednesday morning. Officials say he shot and killed 20-year-old Isaiah Gillespie.
Officers say they responded to Laurel Pointe Apartments just before midnight Monday for reports of shots being fired. Witnesses say they saw an injured person being loaded into a vehicle, and then leaving the scene. Police say Gillespie was dropped off at Novant Rowan Regional Medical Center where he died from his wounds.
Watson is charged with Murder, Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle, and Assault on a Female.
The investigation is ongoing.
