CHARLOTTE, NC — Police are investigating after two teens were shot at a gas station near I-85.
The shooting happened around 8pm at the Skye Mart Convenience Store on Brookshire Boulevard. Police say a 16-year-old male was found shot in the leg on the off-ramp from I-85 at Brookshire Blvd.
The second victim, a 14-year-old male, was later found after showing up at Presbyterian Hospital on his own with a gunshot wound.
Both victim’s injuries are non-life threatening, police say.
According to reports, a group pulled into the parking lot and got out of their car. One of the suspects then started shooting at another group already there. That’s when police say the two teens were shot.
Police say a third vehicle belonging to an innocent bystander was also hit during the gunfire, but no one was injured in that vehicle.
