STATESVILLE, NC — Police have arrested a suspect in a shooting that sent one man to the hospital Thursday afternoon.
Obryan Glaspy, 30, was arrested and charged with shooting 36-year-old David Gamble in the leg around 3:30pm.
The shooting happened on Ora Drive. Police say Gamble was found with a gunshot wound and taken to Baptist Hospital for treatment.
Investigators soon identified Glaspy as the suspect. He was arrested on Stockton Street and charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill or Inflict Serious Injury and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
Police say investigators are working with the DA’s office on this case and more charges may be pending.
