City of Charlotte hires law firm to investigate claims of unethical behavior on City Council
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The City of Charlotte has hired an attorney to investigate claims made about unethical conduct within the city council.
WCCB Charlotte obtained a letter of retention sent to the city from the law firm Cranfill Sumner, confirming the group will investigate the matter at a rate of $300 per-hour.
City officials have been tight-lipped on what those claims of unethical conduct are, or which city council members might be involved.
