$2,500 Reward for Information On Church Arson

 CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives announced that it is offering a $2,500 reward to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the arson of Briar Creek Baptist Church. 

The fire on June 24th caused about $250,000 in damage to the church’s structure. The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department as well as the Charlotte Fire Department continue to investigate the incident. CMPD’s Crime Stoppers is offering an additional $1,000 reward if the information leads to a conviction.
