As families prepare for the start of a new school year Carlos and Alexa Penavega are teaming up with the Salvation Army to help provide school supplies for families in need.

The celebrity couple are best known for their roles in Spy Kids and Big Time Rush — but one of their most important roles is being parents.

The couple talked to WCCB’s Deirnesa Jefferson about why they’re so passionate about giving back.
