Candlelight: A haunted evening of Halloween classics arrives in Charlotte for a spooky night of music

Charlotte, August 12, 2025 – This fall, Candlelight brings back to Charlotte its special Halloween edition: A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics.
Taking place on October 25 at Great Aunt Stella Center, this one-of-a-kind concert offers an immersive and enchanting musical experience, perfect for those seeking a refined and memorable way to celebrate the spooky season.
Over the course of 60 minutes, audiences aged 8 and up will be invited to experience Halloween from a different perspective: a live string quartet performing in the candlelit setting of Great Aunt Stella Center, a space chosen for its distinctive character and atmosphere. The setting, lit by thousands of candles, creates a sense of quiet mysticism and visual drama, framing a program that blends classical music with film and television soundtracks closely associated with Halloween.
The repertoire includes well-known titles such as Thriller by Michael Jackson, Tubular Bells (theme from The Exorcist), Bernard Herrmann’s Prelude from Psycho, the theme from Stranger Things, Camille Saint-Saëns’ Danse Macabre, and a medley from The Nightmare Before Christmas, among others.
