Rescue crews searching for missing swimmer in Mountain Island Lake

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. – The Huntersville Fire Department is assisting Gaston County emergency crews in the search for a missing swimmer in Mountain Island Lake. The search started around 7pm Thursday. Crews have search and rescue boats in the water.

An NC Wildlife Commission spokesperson tells us the missing swimmer is an adult man.
