Foxcroft Wine Co. Rebrands as Foxcroft Food & Wine

CHARLOTTE, NC – What began in 2004 as a single boutique wine shop in Charlotte’s Foxcroft neighborhood has grown into a restaurant group with six locations in North and South Carolina – and more to come next year. To more accurately reflect Foxcroft Wine Co.’s evolution and better position the restaurant for continued growth, Conrad Hunter, founder and CEO, announced its rebrand to Foxcroft Food & Wine

“Twenty years ago, I just wanted to share great wines with people who might be intimidated by the fancy wine shop experience,” said Hunter. “Along the way, we became a destination for a casual night out with friends to special celebrations – something I never could’ve imagined in 2004. The name needed to catch up with where we are now: a friendly gathering spot where you’ll feel at home, no matter if you’re in jeans and a T-shirt or a suit.”

The former name didn’t convey the full scope of Foxcroft’s offerings, and many newcomers who stopped in for a bottle of wine were surprised to discover any food menu, much less one so extensive, Hunter said.

Foxcroft has expanded its offerings and its geography.

The restaurant group has nearly tripled its footprint in just six years, growing organically as real estate developers across Charlotte, Raleigh and Greenville, S.C., sought to replicate the success of the original. While each location reflects the city and neighborhood it calls home, all offer a large, but thoughtfully chosen, wine selection; an impressive menu; and service that appeals equally to oenophiles with home wine cellars and novices just beginning to explore the world of wine.

Newer Foxcroft locations at Waverly (opened 2019), Birkdale (2024), and Raleigh (2025), each span 4,000 square feet, offering expanded dining capacity and space for private events, while maintaining the warm, neighborhood feel that defines the brand.

The rebrand is accompanied by a slate of initiatives designed to appeal to long-time guests and entice newcomers. They include:

·       Chef Stephanie Klos has been appointed Culinary Director, bringing a fresh vision to menu development and innovation

·       A weekend brunch launching later this year at Birkdale and in Raleigh

·       A planned patio expansion at Dilworth in early 2026

·       Plans are underway for a cocktail program crafted in collaboration with award-winning sister lounge Dot Dot Dot, a speakeasy co-owned by Hunter and Stefan Huebner, in Charlotte’s Park Road Shopping Center.

Each Foxcroft location has become an integral part of its neighborhood fabric – the spot where regulars grab their usual table, where business deals are made and where friends catch up over wine flights. Beyond everyday dining, Foxcroft offers wine dinners, masterclasses and monthly drop-in tastings, providing ways for guests to discover new regions and producers. Private dining options accommodate everything from cocktail-style gatherings to complete restaurant buyouts.

The transition to Foxcroft Food & Wine will include updated signage at all locations, expected to be installed in the coming months. The company is actively working on expanding in 2026, as it continues to seek neighborhoods where Foxcroft can become part of the community fabric.
