INDIAN TRAIL, NC — Deputies have charged a Union County man accused of setting fire to a home Tuesday morning.
Joshua Hargett, 23, is charged with First Degree Arson. Crews arrived to smoke and flames coming from a home on Old Monroe Road early Tuesday. Officials say several people were also outside the home when they arrived.
Investigators later determined the fire was intentionally set. Deputies say residents at the home told investigators that Hargett likely set the fire after an argument between he and his father.
The investigation is still ongoing.
