The Edge: Is “6-7” the most annoying things kids say these days?

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Parents of teens and tweens have been probably going crazy over the latest trendy phrase: “6-7.” The term has gained popularity to the point where some schools are prohibiting kids from using it. It originated from a song called “Doot Doot” by Skrilla in which he raps “6-7.” Then, a University of Kentucky commit used the phrase in a TikTok video, and it took off from there. If you’re looking for an actual meaning, stop! It’s more of an exclamation.

Do you blame teachers for banning it in the classroom?
