High Country Wind Chill Could Dip To -25 Degrees

BLOWING ROCK, NC — The extreme cold is going to keep a grip on the mountains for several days, and wind chills could dip to at least -25 Thursday night.

People are bundled up as the temperatures fall, and many were even still out braving the cold.

Blue Ridge Electric is asking customers in the Boone area to help conserve power from 6-9am Thursday. The company says those are peak usage times, and just lowering your thermostat three degrees is a great way to conserve.
