Monkey gets spooked at a Spirit Halloween store

PLANO, TX – An escaped monkey in a diaper caused a lot of excitement at a Spirit Halloween store in Plano, Texas.

Police say the monkey escaped from its owner after being spooked by an animatronic decoration.

The monkey then started climbing shelves in the store, but didn’t stop there. It was also climbing and swinging from the rafters, as well.

Officers say the owner eventually was able to get a hold of the monkey with a cookie. 

Police then advised the owner to use a leash.
