GASTONIA, NC — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 17-year-old male wanted in connection to an attempted murder on January 9th.
Zion Demetrious Mitchell is charged with Attempted 1st Degree Murder. Officials say Mitchell shot 19-year-old Devon Phillips on Barkley Street around 7:45pm.
According to police, Phillips was shot in the leg and chest and is expected to recover.
