Quiet evening with changes moving in Tuesday

Rain chances increase Tuesday

Tonight, will bring increasing clouds with temperatures dipping into the upper 40s. Winds out of the east-southeast near 5 mph will become calm after midnight, setting the stage for a quiet and cool night before Tuesday’s changes arrive.

Tuesday brings temperatures climbing well above average and breezy conditions developing through the day. The morning begins dry with a mix of clouds and some sun, with warmth building quickly. Many areas will climb into the 70s by the afternoon.

Along with the rising temperatures, winds will strengthen, making the afternoon feel gusty at times. By late day, the atmosphere becomes more unstable, and scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop after about 4 PM. These storms will continue into the evening and overnight.

This won’t be a full washout as there will still be plenty of dry time during the day. If you have evening plans, especially travel, be prepared for pockets of rain, reduced visibility, and slick roads and a few heavier showers. Some storms could produce brief downpours and gusty winds.

Rain gradually shifts out late Tuesday night, and a cooler, calmer pattern begins to settle in. By Wednesday night, skies turn clear with dry and crisp conditions returning, and this quiet pattern is expected to last into Thanksgiving Thursday. The timing is just perfect!

The only downside is temperatures will drop nearly 20 degrees as daytime highs return to the 50s.
