Rain showers taper off Monday morning. Totals likely hit around an inch in Charlotte. The cold front gets through Monday morning, but the colder air spreads area wide Monday night. So, highs make it to the mid 50s tomorrow before dipping below freezing later in the night.
Snow showers fall in the mountains Monday night into Tuesday morning. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 7pm Monday until 10am Tuesday across Avery, Watauga and Ashe counties. Winds gust up to 55 mph as well. The winds spread across the Foothills and Piedmont Tuesday making daytime highs in the 40s feel like the 30s. We’ll get another round of rain Thursday night into Friday.
