The lockdowns have been lifted. Police say a stolen vehicle was located and the driver of the vehicle crashed and fled the area on foot. K9 responded to assist with tracking the suspect. One suspect was taken into custody but police believe another suspect is still at large.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two CMS schools are on lockdown due to police activity in the area. J.T. Williams Montessori and Lincoln Heights Academy are both on lockdown.
J.T. Williams Montessori is located on Carmine Street which is near Statesville Avenue. Lincoln Heights Academy is located on Newcastle Street which is near LaSalle Street.
Officials are not saying what the police activity is at this time. We have a crew on the scene. Check back for updates.
