Clouds will steadily increase as we head through the evening as the weather pattern starts to change. That cloud cover actually helps us out overnight, keeping temperatures from dropping too far. Lows stay relatively mild, landing in the lower to mid-40s.

Those clouds signal that our next weather maker is getting closer. Later tonight, we could see a little patchy drizzle develop and Saturday morning is when the rain really settles in. Expect widespread showers with a few heavier downpours mixed in, especially early in the day. While the steadiest rain happens during the morning hours, some spotty showers linger into Saturday evening.

This is actually a welcome rain. Rainfall totals look to come in around a quarter to a half inch across the area.

By Sunday, the weather flips back to our favor. Sunshine returns as high pressure moves in, drying things out and pushing afternoon highs back into the mid to upper 50s. Sunday and Monday will feel noticeably cooler and crisp.

Looking ahead to the middle and end of next week, a stronger area of high pressure builds overhead, and that brings a nice warm-up. High temperatures climb into the 60s, and a few locations could even sneak close to 70 degrees. Enjoy!
