Charlotte Fire Is Asking The City For Bullet Proof Vests And Other Safety Gear

CHARLOTTE, NC — The Charlotte Fire Department will have to wait to find out if the city will pay for bullet proof vests and other safety gear.

Charlotte City Council pulled the item off tonight’s agenda because council members still have too many questions.

The plan calls for spending a little more than $1.5 million on new helmets, face shields, bullet-proof plates and 372 bullet-proof vests.
