Wilson’s World: Visiting the Model UN at Winthrop University

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Some of the best and brightest students from North and South Carolina are all converging on Winthrop University as part of the Winthrop University Model UN Conference.  Wilson was at Tillman Hall on the university campus to find out more about this conference that has been held for 42 years.

This conference is an opportunity for high school and college kids to work together to learn about the world in a fun atmosphere.  Winthrop is the first university to bring together high school and college kids together for this type of conference.  The students get together to debate issues of the world as well as how to be a professional and a professional public speaker in this age of social media style speaking.

Wilson talked with some of the college students about why they are participating and why it is so important to them.
