Rock Hill Man Arrested Almost Immediately After Alleged Armed Robbery

ROCK HILL, SC — Police arrested the man accused of robbing A to Z Cash and Carry Tuesday afternoon almost immediately after the crime occurred.

According to reports, officers quickly responded to a call about an armed robbery at the store on Willowbrook Avenue around 2pm and found 25-year-old Dixon Fletcher Roark trying to escape across railroad tracks nearby.

Officers say a gun and money taken during the robbery were recovered when they arrested Roark.

He is charged with Armed Robbery and Possession of a Weapon during a Crime of Violence. Officials say the investigation is ongoing and more charges may be filed.
