Police Charge Man Accused Of Stealing From Vehicles At An East Charlotte Dealership

CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD has charged a 50-year-old man with stealing property from multiple vehicles at an east Charlotte dealership.

Lamar Woodard was arrested after police responded to reports of someone stealing items from several vehicles at Hendricks Automotive on E. Independence Boulevard around 1:06pm Monday. Police say Woodard had already taken off by the time they arrived, but later walked back onto the lot while they were investigating.

He was taken in for questioning, and then charged with two counts of Felony Breaking and Entering into a Motor Vehicle and two counts of Misdemeanor Larceny from Motor Vehicle.

Detectives say Woodard was also identified as the suspect in another incident that occurred on March 13th. He is additionally charged with Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle and Larceny from a Motor Vehicle in connection to that case.
