STATESVILLE, NC — Police have charged a 17-year-old South Iredell High School student with making a threat against his school.
Police say Randy Peltier stood up and told his class, “I’m going to shoot up the school,” after becoming agitated Thursday morning while the teacher was out of the room. Students immediately reported the incident when the teacher returned, according to reports, and Peltier was removed from the room within minutes.
Peltier has been charged with Felony False Report of Mass Violence.
