Cold and Wet Weekend

A cold front triggers rain across the region Saturday. Rain starts in the mountains tonight and spreads through the Piedmont Saturday morning. The mountains, especially near the top, may pick up some snow. I see Boone getting a dusting at best.

Expect temps to be at their warmest, around 60° here in Charlotte, at around noon. They’ll drop throughout the afternoon. As the rain moves out Saturday night, winds get gusty again. With overnight lows dipping into the 30s, it will feel very cold Sunday morning. Monday sees a few more showers, but then we dry out after that.

Saturday: Rain. High 59°.

Saturday Night: Possible showers, gusty and cold. Low 37°.

Sunday: Sunny. High 58°.

Sunday Night:  Mostly cloudy, slight chance of showers.  Low 39°.
