The skies open up across the entire region Monday and Tuesday, and that may lead to flooding. A Flood Watch is in effect for the Mountains and Foothills for Monday and Tuesday. The area could see 3 to 5 inches of rainfall with a few spots even more. Charlotte should pick up between 1 and 2 inches. Rain and wind are the major threats as winds blow steadily from 15 to 20 mph and gust up to 30 mph. Small rain chances persist from Wednesday through Friday. Temps cool Monday, but rebound quickly. Next weekend looks great.
