The Edge: Obama says aliens are not at Area 51

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Former president Barack Obama is clearing the air after his off-the-cuff comment about aliens sent the internet into orbit. During a podcast lightning round, Obama joked that aliens are real, adding he hadn’t seen them and they weren’t being hidden at Area 51. The clip went viral, sparking conspiracy talk online; but, Obama quickly clarified, saying the universe is so vast that extraterrestrial life is statistically possible. He added he saw no evidence of alien contact during his presidency and says the chances Earth has been visited are low.
