CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Police are investigating a homicide near a Food Lion in east Charlotte.
It happened around 4:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon in the 7400 block of The Plaza near East W.T. Harris Boulevard.
Medic responded to the area for a shooting. The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A person of interest was detained at the scene, police said.
