Authorities Seize More Than 2 Kilos Of Cocaine, $57K In Cash In Union County
MONROE, NC — Authorities seized roughly two and a half kilos of cocaine and over $57,000 in cash while executing search warrants last week.
The warrants were part of a long term narcotics investigation into large scale cocaine and methamphetamine distribution in Union County. Detectives with the Union County Sheriff’s Office and Monroe Police Department executed seven search warrants at several homes and apartments across the Monroe area.
Four suspects were arrested during the raids. They each face multiple counts of drug related charges.
- Antonio Castrejon Vergara, 41, of Monroe, faces multiple counts of Trafficking in Cocaine, Conspiracy to Traffic Cocaine and a
count of Trafficking in Methamphetamine. He remains jailed under a $1,750,000.00 bond and faces deportation due to an illegal re-entry into the
country. His next court date is June 5, 2018 in Union County. - Arturo Roberto Gonzalez, 38, of Pineville, faces multiple counts of Trafficking in Cocaine and Conspiracy to Traffic Cocaine. He remains jailed under a $1,000,000.00 bond. His next court date is scheduled for June 5, 2018 in Union County.
- Donny Salas Flores, 48, of Monroe, faces multiple charges of Trafficking in Cocaine, Conspiracy to Traffic Cocaine as well as Failure to Appear. He is in the Union County Jail under a $1,002,500.00 bond. His next court date is May 14, 2018.
- Felipe Morales Castrejon, aka Felipe Castrejon Morales, 38, of Monroe, faces multiple counts of Trafficking Cocaine, Conspiracy to Traffic Cocaine, Maintaining a Vehicle and Conspiracy to Traffic Methamphetamine. Castrejon remains in the Union County Jail under a $600,000 bond. His next court appearance is June 5, 2018.
