Police Charge Two Suspects In Fast Food Drive-Thru Armed Robberies

CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD has charged two suspects in connection to several drive-thru armed robberies at local fast food restaurants.

Elijah Hallman and Cameron Hallman have each been charged with two counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and two counts of Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery.

The crimes both happened within 30 minutes of one another, police say, around 2am on April 11th. One robbery happened at the Wendy’s on Arrowridge Boulevard, and the other was at a McDonald’s on S. Tryon Street.

In both cases, police say the suspects pulled a gun and demanded money.

Detectives were able to identify Elijah Hallman as a suspect when one of them dropped change and a cell phone while fleeing the McDonald’s scene.

Elijah Hallman was arrested on April 12th. Cameron Hallman was then identified as the second suspect and arrested on Tuesday.

The investigation is ongoing.
