Student brings weapon to CMS middle school

MATTHEWS, N.C. – A student was caught with a weapon on campus Tuesday at a Matthews middle school. In a message to parents, the principal at Crestdale Middle said all students are safe and that weapon was confiscated.

According to the CMS Code of Student Conduct, students found with weapons on campus will face disciplinary action and could face legal consequences.
