Early Morning Drug Raids Lead To Six Arrests In Iredell County

TROUTMAN, NC — Deputies arrested six suspects on multiple drug charges early Thursday morning while executing multiple simultaneous search warrants.

The warrants stem from a month long investigation into the selling and distribution of illegal drugs throughout the area. Detectives say they gathered surveillance on several suspects at different residences off of Carrigan Road where possible illegal drug activity had been reported.

As a result of the investigation, the following people have been arrested and charged:

  • Megan Stevens, 25, is charged with Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana Drug Paraphernalia, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
  • Marvin Kongvongsay, 25, is charged with Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana Drug Paraphernalia, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
  • Jerry Goodnight, 49, is charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
  • Kevin Stratford, 19, is charged with Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
  • Alec Murdock, 22, is charged with Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
  • Kimberly London, 27, is charged with Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Sheriff Darren Campbell said in a release, “This is a fine example of the result a community impact case can have. By taking these drug dealers out of the area, it improves the quality of life for the residents who were tired of the illegal activity occurring in their neighborhood and shows the continued responsiveness of this office to community complaints.”
