Police records reveal 911 was called 59 times in connection to home where six-year-old girl was found living in feces, urine

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – We’re learning more about what happened before the death of a six-year-old girl in east Charlotte. Emergency responders found six-year-old Dominique Moody not breathing inside the home on Gwynne Hill Road in December. Investigators say the child was living in feces and urine, and was severely underweight. Moody died at the hospital shortly after she was found.

Now, WCCB has uncovered that since 2020, there were 59 911 calls connected to the home on Gwynne Hill Road. Many involve domestic violence allegations, along with welfare checks. We’re working to find out more about those calls and why Moody wasn’t removed from the home before she died.
