Belmont PD arrests Lowe’s robbery suspect after high-speed chase

BELMONT, N.C. – A robbery at a Belmont Lowe’s store Thursday morning leads to a high-speed chase. Belmont Police say Reginald Cannon robbed someone at the Lowe’s on Caldwell Farm Road at gunpoint, before taking off in a Dodge Charger.

Officers say they quickly caught up with Cannon before he eventually crashed into a parked garbage truck on I-85, leading to his arrest.

Now, Cannon faces multiple felony charges.
