Pop showers and a few storms Friday, mostly dry

Soggy Easter Sunday

Good Friday morning! It’s a warm and slightly more humid start to the day, and that trend will stick with us through the afternoon. Expect highs to climb into the low to mid 80s, with a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day.

As we head into the afternoon and early evening, there’s a chance for a few brief shower or even a pop-up thunderstorm. Not everyone will see rain, and most of the day will stay drybut if you’re out and about later on, just keep an eye on the sky. Any storms that do develop should be quick-moving and fairly isolated.

Looking ahead to the weekend:
Saturday is shaping up to be the clear winner if you’ve got outdoor plans. Expect warm temperatures in the 80s and just a slight chance for a pop-up shower or storm later in the day. These storms will be brief but a little more widespread compared to Friday.

Sunday isn’t a total washout with a few hours of dry time early morning but heavy to moderate rain is expected Sunday afternoon into the evening  It will be slightly muggy with highs in the 70s.

Into next weekwe’ll start things off a bit cooler and less humid, settling back into that classic April feel. Expect highs in the upper 60s and mornings dipping into the 40s. Frost concerns will be in play for sections of the High Country.

ENJOY!
