Kristen Stewart Goes Barefoot On The Cannes Red Carpet

Kristen Stewart makes a statement on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival. The actress whipped off her heels and climbed up the red carpet stairs barefoot to protest the flat shoe ban.

“Heelgate” kicked off in 2015, when a group of women wearing flats were banned from a screening of “Carol”. The festival insisted that heels were mandatory for women at red carpet screenings.
