Woman accused of stabbing pregnant shopper at Charlotte grocery store now booked into Mecklenburg County jail
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A Waxhaw woman accused of stabbing a pregnant woman at a Charlotte grocery store has been brought back from Florida to face charges and booked into the Mecklenburg County jail. Flagler County, FL jail records show Marvina Butler-Hardy being released around seven Tuesday morning. She was booked into the Mecklenburg County jail around 7:30 Tuesday night.
She’s accused of stabbing a pregnant woman on March 18th, in the parking lot of the Harris Teeter in Cotswold on South Sharon Amity Road. Police say the suspect and victim did not know each other.
A trooper pulled Butler-Hardy over two weeks later in Florida for a cracked windshield, and learned she had a warrant out for her arrest. She faces charges of battery of an unborn child and assault with the intent to kill.
