CONCORD, N.C. – One person died and another was taken to the hospital after shooting at a park in Concord.
It happened just before 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot area of Hartsell Park off Sunderland Road SW.
One victim died and another was transported to the hospital. There’s no word on the second victim’s current condition.
Police said it was an isolated incident and that there’s no threat to the community, but did not say if they have any suspects in custody.
The park will be closed the rest of the night while the police investigate.
