Appeals court upholds conviction of stepfather in Madalina Cojocari case

The North Carolina Court of Appeals has upheld the conviction of Christopher Palmiter.Β

Palmiter is the stepfather of missing Cornelius girl Madalina Cojocari, who was last seen in 2022.

Palmiter was convicted of failing to report her disappearance, but argued that the law was unconstitutional.

The appeals court rejected every argument, keeping that conviction in place as the search for Madalina continues.
