CHARLOTTE, N.C. β One person died and another was seriously injured following a shooting in northeast Charlotte overnight.
It happened just before 2 a.m. on Weldon Avenue near The Plaza.
When officers arrived, they located two victims with gunshot wounds. One was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The other was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Homicide detectives responded to the scene to collect evidence.Β
