CMPD: Death investigation in Uptown has now been ruled a homicide

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say a death investigation just outside Uptown Charlotte is now considered a homicide.

The victim’s body was found Friday night around 6:45 on North Poplar Street, near West 12th Street. Their name has not been released and there’s also no word on any suspects.

Police say autopsy results led them to change the victim’s manner of death.
