Cooler temperatures tonight before bright sunny skies move in

Below average temperatures Wednesday before a warm-up

Β Through the rest of Tuesday evening, expect a few lingering showers, especially early on, but rain coverage will continue to decrease overnight as the systemΒ pulls away. Skies willΒ turn clearΒ tonight, and temperatures will fall into the lowerΒ 50s by Wednesday morning.

By the time you wake up Wednesday, most locations will be dry. Clouds may be slow to clear at first, but sunshine will gradually break through during the afternoon. You’ll notice the air feeling less humid, and temperatures will climb to around 80 degrees.

That warming trend continues through the second half of the week. Thursday and Friday will bring plenty of sunshine and noticeably warmer afternoons as temperatures push well into the 80s.

Looking ahead to the weekend, summer-like weather takes center stage. Highs will climb close to 90 degrees in many spots, and most of the weekend looks dry with a good amount of sunshine. A stray shower or thunderstorm may develop over the mountains by Sunday as moisture slowly begins to return, but for most of us, rain chances remain very low.
