American Airlines removing routes from Charlotte due to rising fuel prices

American Airlines announced it will not be flying to some cities out of Charlotte later this summer because of rising fuel prices.

American tells WCCB that some routes in August and September are impacted, but they did not specify which cities.

β€œAmerican is not suspending any routes indefinitely as part of this adjustment and will continue to proudly offer an industry-leading network with more flights than any other U.S. airline,” American said in a statement.

They say travelers on impacted routes will be offered other travel arrangements or a refund. They say this decision is in line with industry trends.
