1,500 New Jobs Coming To Charlotte Next Year!
CHARLOTTE, NC.– Charlotte City Council has approved incentives for Amazon to build a new distribution center in West Charlotte. That means 1,500 new jobs!

mazon choose to test an automated distribution center. With this comes major infrastructure improvements around the 100 acre area where it will be built.
“Dust off your resumes because it’s going to be a good year for Charlotte,” says Charlotte City Council member At-Large James Mitchell.
Mitchell telling me Amazon will be hiring for skilled trade jobs. He says if you get the job, you’ll be working in technology. The salaries will range from $25,000-$45,000 a year, plus benefits.
Land is already being cleared for the 2.5 million-square-foot distribution center near Tuckaseegee and Todd Roads. Charlotte Douglas Airport owns the property and is selling it to Amazon. The city will reimburse amazon $13.4 million for infrastructure upgrades. It would be for the realignment of Tuckaseegee Road and a new thoroughfare called Todd Road and other improvements.
