East Meck robotics team inspires future STEAM leaders

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Students at East Mecklenburg High School are gaining hands-on experience in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathmatics through Avian Robotics Competition team.

The program gives students the opportunity to design, build and operate competition robots while developing teamwork, leadership and problem-solving skills. Rising visited the team to learn more about the organization and even stepped behind the controls to experience driving one of the robots firsthand.
