After One Day, 1100 People Received Vaccinations For Hepatitis A

CHARLOTTE, NC — Mecklenburg County Public Health officials say over a thousand people have already received hepatitis A vaccinations just one day after clinics were opened to vaccinate customers and employees of a west Charlotte Hardee’s.

More than 1100 people were vaccinated Wednesday at the Mecklenburg County Public Health clinics, according to a officials. Health officials say the County has received an additional supply of the vaccines and they do not anticipate a shortage.

Anyone who ate at the Hardee’s at 2604 Little Rock Road between June 13 and 23 is told to seek vaccination as soon as possible within the next 14 days. Concern of contamination was raised after an employee at that location was diagnosed with the virus earlier this week.
