Police Arrest 49-Year-Old Man Who Cut Off His Electronic Monitoring Device

UPDATE: Police officers have arrested 49-year-old Tony Monroe.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are searching for a man who is facing breaking and entering charges and cut off his electronic monitoring device.

Tony Monroe, 49, is wanted for felony breaking and entering, larceny after break-in, damage to property and interfering with an electronic monitoring device.

He was court ordered to wear an electronic monitoring device as a condition of his pre-trial release. Monroe cut off his electronic monitor on Wednesday, July 4th. He was last known to be in the area of 2101 Highland Street, Charlotte.

Monroe is 5’10” and weighs 180 pounds.
