Oehling Norberg, Baron win ski cross World Cup races

ARE, Sweden (AP) — Victor Oehling Norberg beat Jean Frederic Chapuis of France to win a men’s ski cross race on Saturday and extend his freestyle World Cup lead.

Oehling Norberg earned his third straight victory and leads the ski cross standings with 411 points, with Chapuis second on 287.

Another Swede, Michael Forslund, finished third Saturday.

In the women’s race, Alizee Baron of France won ahead of Austrian duo Katrin Ofner and Andrea Limbacher. Baron climbed to third in the ski cross standings with 316 points, 41 behind leader Fanny Smith of Switzerland, who was eighth in Are.
