NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — R&B stars who emerged in the late ’90s and early 2000s brought their hits to feverish female fans at a Valentine Day’s concert.
Jagged Edge, Jaheim, Avant and Tank were among the singers who performed Friday night at the concert billed “Ladies’ Night: R&B Extravaganza.” It was held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Girl group Total kicked off the show, followed by Jagged Edge, who sang hits from “Let’s Get Married” to “Promise” to “Where the Party At.” Avant was eager during his set, even singing a capella after his band exited the stage and he was urged by security to wrap up.
Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter-producer Tank provided jokes in addition to singing. He also removed his shirt.
Lil Kim and Al B. Sure made surprise appearances.
