Two Suspects Charged In July East Charlotte Homicide

CMPD has charged Rodwyn Taylor, 30, and Brinton Bertha Jr., 17, with the July 16th shooting death of Psi’keem Walker.

Both Taylor and Bertha were arrested Tuesday on unrelated outstanding warrants, according to police, and later charged with Murder following an interview with homicide detectives.

The investigation is still ongoing.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating a homicide in east Charlotte.  CMPD says they were called to East 16th Street at the Greenway Monday morning.  Upon arrival, they found a man, later identified as 19-year-old Psi’keem Walker, with an apparent gunshot wound.  Walker was pronounced dead on the scene.

No arrests have been made at this time.  Anyone with information on this homicide is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
