July shooting death in Charlotte ruled justified, no details given as to why

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Detectives now say an east Charlotte homicide from last month was justified. 31-year-old Jaqualla Simmons was found shot on Wallace Road near East Independence Boulevard around 7:00 on the morning of July 12th.

MEDIC pronounced her dead at the scene. At the time, police said they were not looking for any suspects.

They haven’t said why they determined the killing was justified.
